Aberdeen is an industrial city in the Scottish Highlands. Aberdeen is famous for its locally quarried granite and the discovery of oil in the area, giving it nicknames such as ‘Granite City’ and the ‘Oil Capital of Europe’. Aberdeen has also won the Britain in Bloom award ten times, a record, and named one of the UK‘s super cities by HSBC. It is also the 56th most liveable city in the world, and the fourth in the UK.
