UK: List of London Boroughs by Population

There are 32 boroughs that make up London – and it may surprise you that London actually isn’t a city. Because of strict rules of places becoming cities in the UK, London is seen as a county divided into administrative boroughs. Two of the boroughs, City of Westminster and City of London are cities in their own right. The City of London is the ancient core known as ‘the square mile’, thousands of years later, a metropolis grew around it, and the City of London still hasn’t expanded its title across the whole metropolis.

  1. I am astonished with the size of the population of London Boroughs. I live at Laleham, a little English Village at the border of Greater London. Although I grew up in London (South Ken), even with my childhood memories and teen age years, I cannot live there. It is not my South Ken anymore. Sad but true. How do people live in that crowded place is amazing. Good luck to them.
